The short version
We collect only what we need to run the store and reach you. We never sell your data. Payments are handled by certified processors, so we never see your card. You can unsubscribe or ask us to delete your data at any time. Questions? sales@acti.health.
Who We Are
FUNCTNL is a trading name of Actihealth Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 12334483, with its registered office at One Stonegrove, 5 Hayling Way, Edgware, HA8 8BN, United Kingdom (VAT no. GB338995439). Actihealth Ltd is the data controller for personal data processed through this site.
We make gut-led performance nutrition, and we take the same approach to your data as we do to our formulas: nothing unnecessary, nothing hidden.
The Information We Collect
We collect the minimum needed to run the store and stay in touch:
- Order details: name, contact details, delivery and billing addresses, and what you purchased.
- Account & marketing: your email address and preferences when you subscribe to updates or join the system.
- Automatically: device type, browser, pages viewed and how you found us, collected through cookies and similar technologies.
- What you send us: reviews, messages, and anything you share with our community.
Full card numbers never touch our servers. Payments are handled entirely by certified payment processors.
How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Fulfil and deliver your orders, and provide customer support
- Send order updates, and marketing emails where you have opted in
- Improve the site, our products and your experience
- Detect fraud and keep the store secure
- Meet our legal, tax and regulatory obligations
Each use relies on a lawful basis: performing our contract with you, our legitimate interests, your consent, or a legal obligation.
Cookies & Analytics
We use three kinds of cookies: essential cookies that keep your cart and checkout working, analytics cookies that show us aggregate patterns so we can improve the store, and marketing cookies that measure how our campaigns perform.
You can control cookies through your browser settings and our cookie banner. Blocking some of them may affect how parts of the site work.
Sharing Your Information
We only share data with the companies that help us run the store:
- Shopify: the commerce platform that powers this store
- Payment processors: PCI-DSS certified, to take payments securely
- Shipping and fulfilment partners: to get your order to you
- Our email platform: to deliver newsletters you subscribed to
- Professional advisors and authorities: where required by law
We never sell your personal data. Full stop.
Marketing
We only email you marketing when you have asked us to. Every email includes a one-click unsubscribe, and you can also email us at any time. We honour opt-outs promptly and keep a suppression list so we do not contact you again by mistake.
Data Retention
We keep order records for up to seven years to meet UK tax and accounting law. Marketing data is kept until you unsubscribe. Analytics data is kept in aggregate for up to 26 months. After that, data is deleted or anonymised.
Your Rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Have inaccurate data corrected
- Have your data erased
- Restrict or object to processing
- Receive your data in a portable format
- Withdraw consent at any time
Email us and we will respond within one month. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
Data Security
Our site is served over TLS encryption, access to personal data is restricted to people who need it to do their job, and payments are handled by PCI-DSS certified processors. No system is ever 100% secure, but protecting your data is treated as part of the product, not an afterthought.
International Transfers
Some of our service providers operate outside the UK. Where that happens, transfers are protected by an approved mechanism such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum or equivalent safeguards, so your data keeps the same protection it has here.
Children's Privacy
This site is not directed at anyone under 16, and we do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes To This Policy
If we change this policy, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new "last updated" date. Material changes will be flagged on the site or by email where required.
